Consulting services firm ICM Group has been awarded a global preferred agreement for Vantage Drilling’s onboard regulatory and crane training requirements.

ICM said that this long-term agreement, effective from March 2021, covered the majority of ICM’s training programs to support Vantage Drilling’s onboard training requirements.

It will also contribute to expansion of the standardization within training delivery through its global fleet, this will ensure that all employees are trained as per industry standards and in-line with the safety procedures set by Vantage Drilling and their clients.

Niek Van Leeuwen, managing director of ICM Group, said: “ We are honoured to be rewarded this agreement and value the ongoing trust of Vantage Drilling. The group is continuously developing new ways of working with clients to enhance efficiency and value creation through its various Manpower and Training & Competence services .

“ Such long-term collaboration represents a concrete sign of confidence to ICM Group confirming its abilities to successfully deliver training programs tailor-made to the continuous changing needs of our clients with a core focus on added values.

“ Ongoing investments, the strengthening of the management team and global workforce allow ICM Group to realize a strong safety and operational training delivery close to what we define as a perfect operational result ”.

“ We are pleased to partner with ICM Group who provide us with expert onboard training to enable us to train our people to the highest standards, effectively and efficiently ”.

It is worth reminding that Vantage Drilling has recently been put in charge of managing Seadrill Partners’ four deepwater floating rigs .

Under these agreements, Vantage’s subsidiaries will provide operating, management and marketing services to Seadrill Partners and its subsidiaries in respect of four of its deepwater floaters – the West Polaris and West Capella drillships, and the West Leo and West Sirius semi-submersibles.
