U.S. weekly offshore rig count up by two units

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. increased by two units over the last week, according to a Friday rig report by Baker Hughes.

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. increased by two units over the last week, according to a Friday rig report by Baker Hughes.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +2 to 440 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 2 from last week to 440 with oil rigs down 1 to 342, gas rigs up 2 to 96, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2.

U.S. Rig Count is up 32 rigs from last year’s count of 408, with oil rigs up 17, gas rigs up 15 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 2 to 13, down 3 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -4 rig to 51 rigs.

Canada Rig Count is down 4 from last week to 51, with oil rigs up 3 to 20, gas rigs down 7 to 31.

Canada Rig Count is up 24 rigs from last year’s count of 27, with oil rigs up 13, gas rigs up 11.
