A unit of international logistics company Peterson has won a contract from French oil major Total for the supply of general consumables and ad-hoc material supply.
Peterson’s unit, named 80:20 Procurement Services, said on Monday that the deal started in January 2021. It has been awarded for three years and extends 80:20’s coverage to all of Total UK’s North Sea assets .
The scope of work throughout this period comprises the supply of commodities from hand tools to absorbents and other general consumable materials.

“ The expertise found within our team will ensure the company benefits through cost savings, waste reduction, and improved supply chain efficiency.

The company will continue to support Total’s onshore asset at the Shetland Gas Plant. As for the offshore assets, this newest contract covers all North Sea owned by Total including Alwyn, Dunbar, Gryphon, Culzean, Ailsa, and Elgin Franklin.
It is worth noting that Paris-headquartered French oil major became the owner of these assets through the acquisition of Maersk Oil’s production assets in 2018.
As for related news, DNV was awarded a three-year contract by Total E&P UK in late February to provide multiple services across the full portfolio of the operator’s oil and gas assets in the UK North Sea.
The independent energy expert and assurance provider was hired to provide core services such as verification, classification and flag, risk advisory services and major accident hazard awareness training.
DNV has a long relationship with Total in the UK and was the incumbent safety services provider during the assets acquisition from Maersk Oil.
