Deftiq and MET-support have developed a number of free offshore renewable energy e-learning courses as part of the Energising Coastal Regions with Offshore Renewable Energy (ENCORE) project.
Aside from Deftiq and MET-support, the e-courses have been produced with expert input for other ENCORE partners and observes.
The target audience for these courses are technology developers, young professionals, academics and researchers, as well as consultants and new employees in the offshore renewable energy (ORE) sector.
The e-learning is expected to help them gain valuable insights into all aspects of the ORE sector in an attractive, smart and fast way.
There will be eight online modules in total, and all of the courses will be free, according to ENCORE.
The first module will be ready by September 2021, the project partners said.
ENCORE is a €10 million project funded under the INTERREG 2SEAS programme. It aims to advance four offshore renewable energy solutions both in terms of technological innovation and commercial uptake.
Aside from advancing river and tidal current , wave, and floating solar solutions, ENCORE will also seek to develop open-source tools and services to facilitate the accelerated uptake of offshore energy solutions for islands, harbors, estuaries and offshore structures with a focus on 2SEAS region, and additional export opportunities.
The project is led by MET-support, which has taken over the lead partner role from Dutch Marine Energy Centre (DMEC) in March 2021.
