Subsea 7 has secured an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract with an undisclosed client in the Middle East.
Under the contract, Subsea 7 will be responsible for the production and installation of various subsea pipelines totaling approximately 40 kilometres, associated crossing structures and two composite power and fibre optic cables.
Engineering and procurement are to begin immediately at Subsea 7’s office in Singapore while offshore activities are scheduled to begin in 2023.
The company did not reveal any further details due to contractual obligations but did say that its office in the Middle East will lead the operations.
This is Subsea 7’s third EPCI contract since the beginning of this month.
At the beginning of the month, the company, in partnership with OneSubsea, won an EPCI contract by OKEA for the Hasselmus project in the southern Norwegian Sea.
Shortly after, the company received an EPCI contract covering subsea facilities, including pipelines, umbilicals, subsea x-mas trees, structures and subsea control modules for the Kobra East & Gekko (KEG) development in the North Sea.
