Taiwan’s CPC Corp receives carbon offset LNG cargo from BP

BP Singapore, a unit of the UK-based oil and gas major BP, has delivered its ‎first carbon offset LNG cargo in the Asia-Pacific region to Taiwan’s energy player CPC Corporation.

BP Singapore supplied the cargo to the Yung-An terminal in Taiwan.

CO2 and CH4 (methane) emissions associated with the LNG cargo were ‎estimated using BP’s GHG quantification methodology for LNG.

BP says the new carbon offset LNG strengthens its offering in ‎the region.‎ Indeed, this marks the company’s first delivery of carbon offset LNG in the Asia-Pacific.
