During the Sakhalin Energy forum, the companies expressed their intention of a strategic partnership.

This involves cooperation in decarbonisation, which will begin with the delivery of the first carbon-neutral/offset LNG cargo from the Sakhalin-2 project.

The first shipment of the carbon-neutral LNG cargo from the Sakhalin-2 will take place in early October.

The Russian gas carrier Grand Aniva will deliver it to Toho Gas at Chita LNG Terminal in Aichi Prefecture.
