Manor Brunel to sport Teledyne survey equipment

Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) has placed an order with Teledyne for survey equipment to be installed onboard its new survey vessel Manor Brunel.

Manor Brunel has undergone a series of engineering upgrades at the Manor Marine yard in Portland, Dorset, in addition to the installation of a suite of hydrographic survey technology from Teledyne Marine.

MRE placed an order with Teledyne Marine for the RESON Seabat T51 multibeam echosounder.

The order also included an E20 single-beam echosounder, SVP70 sound velocity probe, and an upgrade to the vessel’s Applanix POS MV Wavemaster Inertial Navigation System.

The installation of the T51, set to take place in December, will complete the upgrade to the Manor Brunel.

“This investment in the department is a bold statement for the company; the introduction of a high specification, dedicated survey platform to the market will enable MRE to further extend its range of services to the industry,” said Alex Richards , survey manager at MRE.

To remind, MRE bought the 20-meter long Manor Brunel, at the time named Isambard Brunel, in May. The purchase came shortly after the announcement of the launch of MRE’s new survey department, offering hydrographic and geophysical survey services.
