India’s largest power utility NTPC has awarded French engineering company Technip Energies engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) contract for its hydrogen generation plant.
The project is located at Vindhyachal, Madhya Pradesh, India.
The EPCC contract includes the delivery of a five-megawatt hydrogen generation plant using proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis technology at a super thermal power station.
This project fits a large-scale green hydrogen production facility. This is because power to electrolyzer can be replaced with renewable electricity in the future.
