U.S. offshore rig count comes to a standstill

After slowly climbing up for two weeks, the number of offshore rigs in the U.S. stopped its upward movement and remained flat at 13 last week.

After slowly climbing up for two weeks, the number of offshore rigs in the U.S. stopped its upward movement and remained flat at 13 last week, based on Baker Hughes’ weekly rig count report from last Friday.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +2 to 544 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 2 from last week to 544 with oil rigs up 1 to 444, gas rigs up 1 to 100, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 0.

U.S. Rig Count is up 248 rigs from last year’s count of 296, with oil rigs up 221 gas rigs up 28 and miscellaneous rigs down 3.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 13, unchanged year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +2 to 166 rigs.

Canada Rig Count is up 2 from last week to 166, with oil rigs up 5 to 98, gas rigs down 3 to 68.

Canada Rig Count is up 80 rigs from last year’s count of 86, with oil rigs up 58, gas rigs up 22.
