Norway’s floating terminal projects company Höegh LNG has appointed Erik Nyheim as the new president and CEO, effective from mid-August 2022.

Höegh LNG appoints new CEO

Norway’s floating terminal projects company Höegh LNG has appointed Erik Nyheim as the new president and CEO, effective from mid-August 2022.

Erik Nyheim comes from the position of a partner in Boston Consulting Group’s Norwegian office. There, he has led their maritime practice since 2019. Prior to this, he worked for more than 15 years with the Wilhelmsen group.

Chairman of the board Morten W. Høegh said: “(Nyheim) will bring important and relevant experience for the role as president & CEO, enabling us to successfully realise our vision of enabling the transition to clean energy.”

Nyheim added: “I (…) look forward to leading the next phase of the company’s development in a period when security of supply and energy transition are high on the agenda.”

Höegh LNG owns and operates floating LNG import terminals; floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs), and operates LNG carriers. Höegh LNG’s vision is to enable the transition to clean energy. It is owned by Larus Holding Limited, a 50/50 JV between Leif Höegh and Funds managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners. It also owns approximately 46 per cent of Hoegh LNG Partners.

The company is present in Norway, Singapore, the UK, the U.S., China, Indonesia, Lithuania, Egypt, Colombia, and the Philippines.
