Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum (PCF), the legal entity behind Marine Energy Test Area (META) project, has named Jetske Germing as its new managing director.
Jetske brings extensive experience within the Welsh sustainability sector, having held business development manager role for PCF, and a stint as the acting joint CEO.
As a community interest company, PCF works collaboratively for sustainable communities and coasts, connecting people to the low carbon and nature-based solutions designed to enrich their future.
Jetske sits on a range of Welsh marine policy groups, and over the last fifteen years has worked across a number of areas, including stakeholder engagement and community development, open government initiatives to improve public policy on a range of topics, such as renewable energy, sustainable development goals, social prescribing and sustainable tourism.
Speaking about her appointment, Jetske said: “I am excited that the PCF board have given me their trust to lead the passionate and very capable PCF team, continuing our journey for sustainable coasts and oceans with our many stakeholders and communities to make a difference.”

Managed by PCF, the Welsh national test center Marine Energy Test Area (META) signed a lease with The Crown Estate in August 2021, launching the opening of its open water test sites .
The lease has been awarded for the operation of three marine energy test sites in and around the Milford Haven Waterway.
The test sites, offering moderate to high energy areas for operational ‘real-sea’ testing, include Warrior Way tidal site; Dale Roads wave test site; and East Pickard Bay wave and floating offshore wind component test site.
As Welsh national test center, META acts as a key hub for research and innovation – enabling academia to develop tools and resources to advance the sector, supporting supply chain to bring innovative solutions to market and allowing technology developers to deploy, de-risk and develop.
