German oil and gas company Wintershall Dea is set to implement AGR Software’s iQx time and cost estimation and tracking software for its drilling and well projects in Norway.
According to Wintershall Dea, the development will play a role in enabling greater standardization for its well and drilling teams in the well delivery process.
The move is expected to improve communication and automation in workload distribution and increase the transparency of project-related risks and costs for the management team and wider stakeholders.
Complemented with iQx’s time and cost tracker (CT), the German company anticipates to benefit from the visibility of actual drilling time and cost, offering stakeholders functionality to forecast a project’s final duration and expenditures as it develops.

From most recent company-related news, it is worth noting that Wintershall Dea on 13 December announced it had submitted a plan for the development and operation (PDO) of the Dvalin North field to the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE).
Dvalin North is estimated to contain around 84 million barrels of oil equivalent, and the gas will be exported via the Polarled pipeline to Nyhamna near Kristiansund in mid-Norway.
