Houston-based oil and gas service company Trendsetter Engineering has secured a contract to support the development of Beacon Offshore Energy’s project located in the Gulf of Mexico.
Under the multi-year rental and servicing agreement, Trendsetter will provide a 20,000 psi subsea well intervention package for the Shenandoah project located 160 miles off the coast of Louisiana in the Walker Ridge area.
Delivery of the system is expected to take place in the third quarter of the year.

Trendsetter said its TRIDENT intervention system is a single system solution suitable for offshore mobilization to a vessel and capable of rapid re-configuration to facilitate hydraulic, riserless light well and risered medium well subsea intervention operations. It is available in both 6-3/8” 15,000psi and 5-1/8” 20,000psi.
This latest award follows previously awarded scopes for the initial design and qualification of the system.
Trendsetter was previously also awarded contracts to deliver certain components of the subsea production and export equipment for the Shenandoah field, including a six-slot production manifold, subsea valves, and TCS connectors.
Beacon is the operator of the project following its acquisition of interest from LLOG. The co-owner is ShenHai, a subsidiary of Israel’s Navitas Petroleum.
South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy is in charge of the design, procurement, construction, and delivery of the project’s FPS and its installation, while U.S. energy company Williams is providing offshore natural gas gathering and transportation services and onshore natural gas processing services to the development.
Subsea 7 is delivering EPIC and commissioning of the subsea equipment including structures, umbilicals, and production and gas export flowlines.
Shenandoah is expected to come online as early as late 2024.
