Low and zero-emission fuels supplier Titan has taken delivery of the first of a recently acquired set of two LNG carriers, the Titan Unikum.

According to Titan, the carrier was delivered on 24 March in Gibraltar and then sailed to Vigo, Spain, to start the conversion into an LNG bunker vessel at Metalships & Docks S.A.U. shipyard in Spain.

Titan said the conversion will allow Titan Unikum, which has a cargo capacity of 12.000 m3, to transport and bunker LNG, liquefied biomethane (bio-LNG), and in the longer-term, hydrogen-derived e-methane (e-LNG), allowing the supplier to have more flexibility in the operations and solid growth in its strategy in Europe and the Mediterranean.

Titan Unikum’s sister carrier, Titan Vision, is expected to join Titan’s fleet in April this year, the supplier noted.

“We are very happy to have accomplished this important milestone that allows us to expand our distribution targets and serve our customer’s long-term demand. Thanks to all who made all this possible: Seapeak, Metalships & Docks S.A.U., and the crew,” Titan stated on social media.

To remind, Titan acquired the carriers from Canadian gas transportation company Seapeak for bunkering retrofit in January 2023.
