Norway saw a slight rise in oil production in November 2023 compared to the volume seen in October 2023 and last year, however, this is still lower than the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate’s predictions. On the other hand, the gas output has managed to record a slight jump on all levels.

According to the NPD’s recent report, preliminary production figures for November 2023 show an average daily production of 2 014 000 barrels of oil, NGL, and condensate.

Total gas sales were 10.9 billion Sm3 (GSm3), which is 0.7 (GSm3) higher than the previous month.

Average daily liquids production in November was: 1 779 000 barrels of oil, 216 000 barrels of NGL, and 20 000 barrels of condensate.

Oil production in November is 3.1% lower than the NPD’s forecast and 0.9% lower than the forecast so far this year.

Production figures November 2023

The total petroleum production so far in 2023 is about 211.9 million Sm3 oil equivalents (MSm3 o.e.), broken down as follows: about 94.9 MSm3 o.e. of oil, about 11.7 MSm3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 105.4 MSm3 o.e. of gas for sale. The total volume is 1.1 MSm3 o.e. less than in 2022.
