Australian engineering company Worley has signed a new global framework agreement with UK-headquartered energy giant BP to provide engineering, procurement, and construction management services (EPCM) covering BP’s global refinery assets and new energy portfolio.
According to Worley, the five-year agreement will include providing EPCM services to BP’s strategic projects in green and blue hydrogen, lower-carbon fuels, and sustainable aviation fuels.
The services will be executed by Worley’s offices globally with support from global integrated delivery teams.

In a consortium with Grand Isle Shipyard (GIS), Worley is also providing engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction services to BP-operated offshore assets in the Gulf of Mexico under a five-year deal concluded in September 2022.
In the meantime, BP is advancing its new energy projects such as its integrated Kwinana energy hub in Western Australia which includes green hydrogen production. The company has secured government support and is now moving towards the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase of the project.
BP’s other hydrogen projects include HyGreen Teesside and H2Teesside in the UK , HyVal in Spain as well as a number of hydrogen hubs in the making in Europe, Asia Pacific, U.S., and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
