Trendsetter wraps up deepwater well stimulation campaigns for 'major operators'

Texas-based oil and gas services company Trendsetter Engineering has completed two deepwater well stimulation campaigns for what the company says are major operators in the US Gulf of Mexico.

These campaigns saw acid treatments performed on a total of six wells, in water depths from 6,500 to 7,200 feet.

The activities follow a contract agreement to provide hydraulic intervention and technical services through the subsea tree injection manifold (STIM) for a hydrate remediation and flowline flush project in the Gulf of Mexico.

As Trendsetter said, the STIM offers a 15,000 psi-rated subsea safety system capable of providing hydraulic access to wells, suitable for both vertical and horizontal tree types in water depths up to 10,000 feet (just above three kilometers).

Its applications extend beyond hydraulic well stimulation, as it has been utilized in a range of other hydraulic intervention tasks, that include hydrate remediation, bullheading of kill weight fluid and cement, as well as flowline flushing and testing operations, applicable during both the pre-commissioning and decommissioning phases.

Just a bit over a month ago, Trendsetter began working on a Woodside project where it is in charge of delivering several subsea manifolds with foundations, valves, and connection systems.

This came shortly after the Texas-based company delivered equipment for another Woodside project.
