London-listed oil and gas company Harbour Energy has inked a five-year master service agreement (MSA), covering work related to three production assets in the UK sector of the North Sea, to EthosEnergy, a provider of services and solutions for rotating equipment in the energy and industrial sectors.
According to EthosEnergy, this agreement, which comes with an extension option, will enable it to become Harbour Energy’s primary service provider for the maintenance and support of a fleet of light industrial gas turbines across three production assets in the North Sea. While the names of the three assets have not been disclosed, Harbour Energy’s operated UK offshore assets encompass the Greater Britannia Area , J-Area , AELE , Catcher , and Tolmount areas.

The harsh environmental conditions and 24/7 activity on assets demand expertise and efficiency from companies across the supply chain, and for those companies to deliver through a lens of emissions reduction.
“We are proud to provide our comprehensive suite of services, including the repair and ongoing maintenance of the gas turbine units, to Harbour Energy. The expansion of our relationship builds on the impressive steps we have taken alongside Harbour Energy to support the company in lowering life cycle costs, increasing reliability of its turbines and extending equipment life across its asset portfolio.”
Harbour Energy also has non-operated stakes in numerous long-life assets including Elgin/Franklin, Buzzard, West of Shetland – Clair, Schiehallion, and Solan which is operated – and the Beryl area. Other UK North Sea interests include the East Irish Sea, Galleon, Ravenspurn North, and Johnston. In addition, the firm has interests in Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico, and Norway.

The latest five-year assignment builds on the relationship EthosEnergy and Harbour have been cultivating for 15 years. The company, which previously worked with Premier Oil, Chrysaor, and ConocoPhillips UK North Sea, has doubled the number of gas turbine units it is supporting for Harbour.
As part of the master services agreement, EthosEnergy will continue to deliver substantial field service and workshop support, supply spare parts, and perform regular planned and unplanned maintenance.
A few months ago, the firm embarked on the expansion of its presence in the Middle East with a new workshop to respond to the growing demand in rotating and oil and gas equipment market.
