UK-based logistics and materials management company Asco has pulled off a hat trick of new contract extensions, worth over £20 million (nearly $25.6 million), with three energy players. The list of firms that have renewed their deals with the Abeerdeen-headquartered company encompasses Britain’s BP, Centrica Energy Storage Ltd (CESL), and France’s TotalEnergies.
Each of the three contract extension wins is set to last up to three years. The assignments with BP and TotalEnergies will enable Asco to supply a fully integrated service to support each operator across the North East of Scotland by leveraging its service lines from quayside operations, materials management, ship agency, road transport, aviation, and environmental services, including naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM).

Our proven track record, as well as industry knowledge and specialist service offering have gained Asco a solid reputation for quality service that is both cost and time efficient.”
Furthermore, Centrica Energy Storage has re-appointed the UK-based logistics provider to support its onshore and offshore operations, maintenance, and project activities with a comprehensive suite of services managed from CESL’s multiple facilities, comprising manned and unmanned offshore platforms.
As a result, Asco is in charge of providing the management of warehousing, waste management, and logistics services as Centrica contemplates investing £1 – £2 billion (close to $1.28 – $2.6 billion) over the coming decade to redevelop the Rough field and make it hydrogen ready in a bid to up its decarbonization game during the energy transition journey to net zero.
The latest string of contract extensions follows reports of Asco’s commitment to substantial growth over the next five years with plans to expand domestically and internationally. Last year enabled the Aberdeen-headquartered business to secure new clients, grow its range of services and sectoral support while expanding into new geographies.
At the start of 2024, Asco also won a five-year contract with BP to provide supply base and pipe yard management services across 16 offshore assets in Trinidad.
