German-Omani energy partnership is celebrating a new milestone as SEFE Securing Energy for Europe and Oman LNG have signed a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) for 0.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG. With the SPA in place, SEFE becomes the first German company to purchase Omani LNG.
With the agreement signed on the sidelines of the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2024, SEFE and Oman LNG have executed the binding term sheet from August 2023 .
The contracted LNG volumes will be delivered from Oman to Germany between 2026 and 2029.

Meanwhile, SEFE gains a reliable and trusted energy supplier, strengthening its position in the European market.”
Egbert Laege , CEO of SEFE, welcomed the SPA, noting that the partnership diversifies the company’s portfolio and supports its goal to provide Europe with a secure energy supply.
