Norwegian vessel owner DOF Group has won a contract for a construction transport and installation (T&I) project in West Africa.
The project involves installing flexible product and various subsea structures.
The company is set to use the Maersk Installer vessel for the project, which is expected to last between 100 and 150 days.
“With the recently announced award from Shell this is the second large job won for the Maersk Installer in the last few weeks,” said Mons S. Aase, CEO of DOF Group ASA.
“After this award the backlog for Maersk Installer is strong in 2nd half 2024. This award once again demonstrates DOF`s capability to deliver deep-water installation scopes to the energy sector. We look forward to delivering this project safely to our client.”
Preparations have begun, with offshore execution scheduled for Q3 2024. The contract value ranges from $19 to $29 million. Recently, the company won another contract in Africa. DOF was contracted by Altera Infrastructure to install a cylindrical floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel and a floating storage unit (FSO) at Eni’s oil and gas development offshore Côte d’Ivoire.
The Skandi Skansen anchor handling vessel is in charge of the work, which is expected to take more than 130 vessel days.
