Multi-million dollar win for US player with 'major energy company'

Houston-based subsea energy equipment and services specialist Koil Energy Solutions, formerly known as Deep Down, has secured a multi-million dollar contract with what it says is a “major international energy company” .

Koil Energy Solutions will deliver engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation and testing for a technical solution for subsea safety control systems under the contract described as “significant” .

The company will perform engineering and procurement activities during this year, followed by manufacturing at its production facility in Houston, Texas, during 2025.

Installation and testing will be carried out at the client’s dedicated integration site.

Erik Wiik , CEO of Koil Energy, said: “This contract stands as a testament to our team’s achievements in developing integrated solutions. We are thrilled to have earned the trust of our customer, allowing us to undertake this project that will enhance the safety of their offshore facility.”

At the end of last year, Koil Energy won a multi-million-dollar contract for innovative flying leads with an undisclosed operator in the Gulf of Mexico. The work includes the comprehensive design, engineering, and manufacturing of several 1,000+ feet flying leads said to be tailored for a unique application.
