Brazilian oil and gas player Enauta has resumed production from one of its floating, production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessels working on a field offshore Brazil, following maintenance.

Enauta reported that production in the Atlanta field in Brazilian waters was restarted on May 25, 2024, following five-day maintenance on the FPSO Petrojarl I . The platform’s operational availability in 2024 is said to exceed 95%.

The Atlanta field has been producing oil since 2018. Operated by Enauta Energia, Enauta’s wholly-owned subsidiary, it is located in block BS-4 in the Santos Basin, at a 1,500-meter water depth.

Enauta is working on replacing the FPSO Petrojarl I with the FPSO Atlanta , which the company bought for Atlanta’s Full Development System (FDS) in 2022. The naming ceremony for the FPSO Atlanta was held at the Dubai Drydocks World shipyard on December 13, 2023.

The FPSO, which crossed oceans to reach Brazil from Dubai , arrived at the field on May 16 . Following its arrival, the activities to connect the wells to the vessel are ongoing .

FPSO Atlanta has the capacity to store 1.6 million barrels of oil and process 50,000 barrels of oil per day. The first oil is expected in August 2024, with six wells online, reaching ten wells in 2029.
