Singapore-based ship management company Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has entered into an agreement with Greek tech firm DeepSea Technologies to implement a fleet-wide deployment of DeepSea’s performance monitoring platform.
As informed, EPS will use Cassandra Performance Monitoring platform. The company plans to monitor its diverse fleet in real-time, through accurate AI-generated digital twins of vessel machinery.

The fleet spans across multiple segments, including bulk, tanker, gas, container, and pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) vessels. The implementation of this technology will enable EPS to harness high-frequency data across all segments.
The collaboration between EPS and DeepSea Technologies will equip EPS with precise and detailed modeling and analytics. This decision-making capability will allow EPS to minimize fuel consumption, reduce GHG emissions, and support its decarbonization goals, according to the company.
“As we embark on this journey of digital transformation, harnessing the power of DeepSea’s Cassandra platform, we’re not just optimizing performance. We are charting a course towards a more sustainable and efficient future for maritime operations,” EPS’ Fleet Performance Manager Pavlos Karagiannidis stated.
EPS recently completed its 200th ship-to-ship (STS) 200th liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering operation with pure car and truck carrier CMA CGM Daytona. The 700 CEU ship received 930 cubic meters of LNG from Pavilion Energy’s bunker vessel LBV Brassavola.
As part of its decarbonization efforts, the Singapore-based company also signed contracts with subsidiaries of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) in Shanghai for a total of six new environmentally friendly vessels. The first deal covers the construction of four 210,000 dwt ammonia dual-fuel bulk carriers.
The second contract covers two 111,000 dwt LNG dual-fuel LR2 oil tankers that will be constructed at CSSC Guangzhou Shipbuilding International.
