Norwegian shipping company Solstad Offshore has secured contract extensions for two of its construction support vessels (CSVs).
Subsea7 has exercised the 2025 optional charter period for the Normand Subsea , with the contract now firm until December 31, 2025, with no further options thereafter.
The 2009-built IMR vessel is 113 meters long, is of VS 4710 design and can accommodate 90 people. It has been on contract with Subsea7 since 2009.
Furthermore, the present client has exercised all remaining option periods for the charter of Normand Energy , making the contract now firm until March 31, 2026. The 2007-built, 130-meter-long vessel will continue supporting subsea operations in West Africa.
Both vessels are owned by Solstad Maritime, in which Solstad Offshore holds 27,3%.
Solstad won new contracts last month for three CSVs and one AHTS vessel with a gross value of approximately NOK 800 million (around $72.9 million), with two vessels set to work in Asia and two in West African waters.
The Norwegian company earlier this week reported it had secured multiple contract awards with Brazilian oil and gas giant Petrobras that have a combined value of approximately NOK 2.6 billion (around $245 million) for CSV Normand Poseidon and AHTS vessels Normand Sagaris.
