Texas-based subsea oil and gas equipment and services player Trendsetter Engineering has tucked a new assignment under its belt on two offshore oil fields in Brazil, following its entry into the South American country’s market with the establishment of local facilities in Macaé.

Trident Energy do Brasil , part of Trident Energy Group, has picked Trendsetter to deliver two six-slot production subsea manifolds for its Bonito and Bicudo fields in Brazil. This equipment is scheduled for delivery in Q3 2025, with offshore installation expected to follow suit.

Hamed Moshrefi , Director of International Operations for Trendsetter, commented: “We are excited to strengthen our successful relationship with Trident Energy do Brasil with this latest production manifold project. We are committed to expanding our presence in Brazil and enhancing our value-added support for Trident Energy do Brasil.”

The contract award, entailing production valves sourced from Advanced Technology Valve (ATV) in Colico, Italy, encompasses the design and manufacture of the subsea manifolds, associated pipework, and mudmat foundations. Trident acquired the Pampo and Enchova assets from Petrobras in 2020, which enabled it to expand its portfolio with the Enchova , Enchova Oeste , Marimbá , Piraúna , Bicudo , Bonito , Pampo , Trilha , Linguado , and Badejo fields in the Campos basin.

These ten assets lie in water depths ranging from 85 to 780 meters. The Enchova asset encompasses the Bicudo, Bonito, Enchova Enchova Oeste, Marimbá, and Piraúna fields, which are situated about 90 km offshore from the state of Rio de Janeiro, covering a total area of 433 m2. Three producing platforms have been deployed in the area.

The Enchova PCE-1 central platform is a unit that started production activities in 1983, approximately 80 km from the coast in a water depth of 116 meters. The Enchova, Bonito, and Enchova Oeste fields are connected to this platform. The P-65 platform is a semi-submersible unit converted for fluid processing and production transfer, which lies at a water depth of 120 meters around 80 km from the coast.

The third asset is the 1976-built P-08 semi-submersible oil and gas production, processing, and transfer platform located about 80 km from the coast in a water depth of 423 meters. This platform is connected to the Marimbá field. On the other hand, Pampo, which comprises Badejo, Pampo, Linguado, and Trilha fields, has one producing platform: PPM1 .

The deal with Trident comes months after Trendsetter Engineering finished two deepwater well stimulation campaigns in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Before this, the firm disclosed work on Woodside’s project related to several subsea manifolds with foundations, valves, and connection systems, which followed the delivery of equipment for another one of Woodside’s projects.
