Peterson Den Helder has hired a platform supply vessel (PSV) from Norwegian offshore vessel operator Havila Shipping for more work.

Under the deal, the PSV Havila Borg is set to work on two wells for an estimated 200 days. The contract comes with optional periods for eight wells, each expected to last 65 days. The planned start date is within two weeks.

This follows a previous deal for this vessel signed in March , that was supposed to start immediately following the contract ending in April 2024 . The Havila Borg, which is of a Havyard 832 design, was built in 2009 at the Havyard Tomrefjord yard. The 3,787.4 DWT vessel can accommodate 23 people.

In July, the vessel operator secured contract extensions for three PSVs , Havila Clipper , Havila Fanø , and Havila Herøy . The Havyard 832 CD design vessels were booked by Equinor for 12 months firm each, with six optional one-month periods.
