DOF Subsea, a subsidiary of Norway’s vessel owner DOF Group, has secured additional job opportunities in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region for one of its purpose-built dive support vessels (DSVs) equipped to come to grips with subsea infrastructure challenges and deepwater systems.

Six months after getting its previous contract extension , which was slated to keep the ship occupied up to Q3 2024, leaving further available options into Q1 2025, DOF won another extension deal for the 2011-built DSV Skandi Singapore , committing the vessel through Q4 2024 but retaining more options that could expand the assignment into Q1 2025.

The company also landed a new contract award, enabling a boost to its backlog for the APAC region, as the assignment will allow the DSV to be deployed off the Australian coast during Q1. The ship’s scope of work entails project management and engineering, fabrication, field reconfiguration, and installation activities associated with extending the production life of existing offshore facilities.

Commenting on the new set of job assignments, Mons Aase , CEO of DOF Group, highlighted: “These awards secure further backlog for the APAC region with an estimated combined value of over USD 13M.”

DOF has gotten a hold of multiple new deals and extensions over the last few months, including the most recent one, which enabled its high-end subsea vessel to prolong its work until mid-2028.
