UAE-headquartered diving company PETRODIVE and Malaysia-based Seatech Engineering Maintenance have entered into a commercial collaboration agreement (CCA) to boost commercial diving operations in Sabah, Malaysia.

The agreement, signed by PETRODIVE’s CEO, Stéphane Troté , and Seatech’s Managing Director, Jérôme Grandchamp , aims to contribute to the region’s oil and gas sector, supporting exploration efforts and pipeline projects in line with rising industry demands.

With PETRODIVE’s operational footprint already spanning Africa and South America, this collaboration marks its first move into the Asia Pacific market.

“The signing of this agreement signals a new phase in expanding PETRODIVE’s commercial diving activities in the Asia Pacific region,” said Troté .

Grandchamp noted that the CCA aligns with Seatech’s strategic goals to enhance subsea capabilities ahead of anticipated larger projects.

“This new CCA is in line with our strategic vision of enhancing our pipeline and subsea capabilities in the region to meet the current industry requirements and the expected larger projects in the future,” added Grandchamp .

The collaboration establishes a consultative framework between the companies, allowing them to jointly develop underwater operations, with a focus on advancing Sabah’s oil and gas endeavors.

Petrodive is an independent diving company offering underwater contracting services for the maritime and international oil and gas sectors. Operating out of its Dubai headquarters, Petrodive’s core operations span West Africa, including Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, and the Caribbean, covering Trinidad and Tobago and Brazil. The company noted that all offshore diving services adhere to International Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) and International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) standards.
