UK-headquartered energy giant BP has penned a global frame agreement with Subsea Integration Alliance, a strategic alliance between SLB’s OneSubsea and Subsea7.
While explaining that the deal forms a platform that will allow them to combine subsea expertise much more effectively across a portfolio of future projects, Subsea7 and OneSubsea underscore the partnership’s ability to bring cross-domain teams together from concept development through the full field lifecycle, enabling the delivery of projects through collaboration and commercial models.
John Evans , Subsea7’s CEO, commented: ”Subsea7 is proud to continue our work together with our alliance partners OneSubsea, and BP. By engaging early in field development planning and by deploying our project management expertise and world-class fleet of vessels, we are able to support a truly holistic end-to-end approach to planning and sustainable delivery.”
The partners, which emphasize that the project allows them to be at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions that drive the new era of subsea operations, recently won a multimillion-dollar engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of subsea pipelines (SURF) and production systems (SPS) for BP’s oil and gas field in the North Sea.

The new agreement marks the beginning of a new journey together, one where we collaborate much broader and deeper, from the early stage of the development journey through to extending the life of assets.

Last month, OneSubsea signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with C-Power to look into ocean energy as a lower-cost, lower-carbon power source for subsea applications.
Meanwhile, Subsea7 has also secured multiple new assignments over the past few months, including one in Saudi Arabia, for which it used a new solution to complete installation works at Aramco’s oil and gas project.
