Norway-headquartered remotely operated vehicle (ROV), subsea management, and personnel services provider Omega Subsea has strengthened offshore survey services to meet the rising demand, particularly in sectors like renewable energy, oil and gas, and other underwater infrastructure by pooling resources with EIVA, a Danish supplier of software, equipment, and integrated systems used in maritime operations.
The two players inked an agreement, enabling Omega Subsea to secure access to advanced software for survey data processing and enhance capabilities in providing what is described as precise and efficient survey and positioning services, supporting the Norwegian company’s work on a wide range of projects. As a result, the firm anticipates more streamlined survey and positioning operations.

The flexibility of the enterprise agreement allows us to scale the number of licenses as needed, providing cost-effective solutions for our team, projects, and clients worldwide.”
EIVA is said to have extensive experience in the offshore and shallow water engineering and survey industries, providing solutions designed to improve operational efficiency and meet the growing demand for reliable services in the maritime sector.

Having previously worked with the Danish firm, Omega Subsea is now focused on implementing what it deems to be a flexible licensing agreement, allowing for adjustments in using EIVA’s software based on specific project needs.

This has been a productive year for Omega Subsea so far, as the Norwegian player mobilized three vessels for subsea ROV operations, and is preparing for an even busier season ahead.
