OneSubsea, a company majority-owned by SLB, has installed three pump stations at a field offshore Brazil operated by BRAVA Energia, an oil and gas player formed following the merger of Brazil’s 3R Petroleum and Enauta. The field’s floating, production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) unit is expected to start production soon.
According to the SLB-led firm, the first multiphase pump (MPP) station at the Atlanta field was installed ahead of schedule, while the additional two were completed within a week of each other. The field is situated in block BS-4 in the Santos Basin, at a 1,500-meter water depth. It is operated and 100% owned by BRAVA Energia.
The Brazilian firm plans to replace FPSO Petrojarl I , which has been working in the field since it started producing in 2018, with the FPSO Atlanta , bought for Atlanta’s Full Development System (FDS) in 2022 . As the latter got approval to start work in September and is expected to produce first oil soon, OneSubsea considers this installation a major milestone.

The company claims to be investing in the development of local expertise and engaging strategic partners to execute parts of the operation in Brazil – such as field development, system engineering, and full field lifecycle services – so that its team is ready to meet the growing demand from revitalization fields and other projects that require “cutting-edge processing systems with substantial local content.”
Last month, OneSubsea and its affiliates closed two deals with BP. While OneSubsea scored a subsea boosting contract for a deepwater project in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, Subsea Integration Alliance, a strategic alliance between OneSubsea and Subsea7, inked a global frame agreement with the UK giant to form a platform enabling them to combine subsea expertise across future projects.
