Contract with 'prominent' oil & gas company takes US subsea firm to West Africa

Houston-based subsea energy equipment and services specialist KOIL Energy Solutions, formerly Deep Down, is set to deliver subsea distribution manifolds to what it says is a prominent oil and gas company, for a project in West Africa.

The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and testing of manifolds and related equipment, said to play a critical role in distributing electrical and hydraulic power to regulate the flow of oil and gas through existing subsea infrastructure.

The project will be carried out at KOIL’s facility in Houston, Texas, with final delivery estimated for the second half of 2025.

The manifolds will be shipped to the site in West Africa once production is complete.

After KOIL got hold of a multi-million-dollar contract for flying leads with an undisclosed operator in the Gulf of Mexico last year, the U.S. player secured another multi-million dollar contract this May to deliver engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and testing for a technical solution for subsea safety control systems.

This was followed by a deal in August to deliver bend stiffener latchers (BSL), a solution designed to secure a subsea umbilical to a topside facility without divers, to an undisclosed operator in a new region.
