Singapore-based company Canopy Power has deployed renewable energy systems that include floating solar, at Soneva’s luxury resorts in the Maldives, with a new project on the way, cutting diesel use and lowering carbon emissions.
Canopy Power has completed the installation of renewable energy systems at Soneva Jani and Soneva Fushi. The installations include 5.2 MWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) and 4.7 MWh of battery storage, supplying 50% of the resorts’ electricity needs.
