The objective behind these events is to provide an overview of EGL5, which will connect Aberdeenshire to Lincolnshire via a high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea cable, as well as information on cable route options from the preferred landfall on the Aberdeenshire coast to the proposed connection point at the Netherton Hub, west of Peterhead.
In addition, the two events will shed light on the details of the nearshore survey area, covering the section from the preferred landfall point out to 12 nautical miles offshore. The community is being asked not just to attend these events but also to provide their views on the proposed project.
