North Sea oil & gas operator and producer Ithaca Energy has exercised the option for Prosafe’s flotel to stay all three remaining weeks at the Captain field in the UK sector of the North Sea.

Safe Caledonia’s contract was supposed to keep the vessel at the Captain field until early February 2026 , after Ithaca Energy exercised nine weeks of options, with a further three weeks remaining at its disposal.

Ithaca Energy has now exercised the option for all three remaining weeks for the flotel to continue providing accommodation support at the field through to February 22.

The total value of the contract extension is approximately $2.73 million.

Prosafe and Ithaca Energy last month also signed a letter of award (LoI) for the charter of Safe Caledonia to provide gangway-connected accommodation support at the Captain field, beginning within Q2 2027. The six-month assignment has up to three months of options, with the final contract award expected in Q1 2026.
