Everllence, formerly MAN Energy Solutions, will deliver its electrically driven compressor technology to MODEC for a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel that will work at an oil project offshore Guyana operated by ExxonMobil.

Everllence will deliver four barrel-type RB compressor trains, two as low-pressure gas compressors and two as export gas compressors, for a new FPSO destined for the Hammerhead field , ExxonMobil’s seventh offshore oil development in the Stabroek block.

The vessel will be moored approximately 200 kilometers off the coast at a water depth of around 1,025 meters and will have an initial production capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd), bringing total installed storage capacity to 1.5 million barrels of oil. First production is expected in 2029.

According to Everllence, while the low-pressure gas compressors will be driven with variable frequency drives (VFD), the export gas compressors will be driven with fixed speed drives.

The scope also includes a comprehensive dynamic process simulation, enabling the compressor systems to operate at their full potential in terms of process efficiency. They will be designed, manufactured and tested at the company’s facility in Zurich, Switzerland.
