Sable Offshore, a Texas-headquartered oil and gas company, has begun oil sales from its Santa Ynez Unit (SYU) and pipeline system off the coast of California to the U.S.-headquartered energy giant Chevron.

Sable Offshore initiated oil sales on March 29, 2026, with the Santa Ynez Pipeline system filled from Las Flores Canyon to Pentland Station at a rate in excess of 50,000 barrels of oil per day. The Harmony platform at the Santa Ynez Unit is currently producing approximately 22,000 gross barrels of oil per day.

The company confirms that the United States Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) has completed its final pre-restart inspection of the Heritage platform.

As a result, Sable plans to commence the production restart at the platform at an expected total rate of over 30,000 gross barrels of oil per day. The firm expects the Hondo platform to be online by the end of the second quarter of 2026 at a rate of over 10,000 barrels of oil per day.

Jim Flores , Sable’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Sable is proud to announce oil sales through the Santa Ynez Pipeline System to Chevron.

“ In doing so, we are providing American oil from American soil through an American pipeline to an American refinery for American consumers and the United States military.”
