Wärtsilä Gas Solutions, part of technology group Wärtsilä, is set to supply the cargo handling and fuel gas supply systems for two new ammonia-fueled liquid ammonia carriers, also capable of carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
The 51,350 m3 capacity midsize carriers are being built at the Chinese Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering shipyard for a joint venture between the UK’s Navigator Gas and Norway-based Amon Maritime.
