Haesong Offshore Wind signs supply chain agreements with LS Cable, LS Marine Solution, KEPCO E&C

Haesong Offshore Wind has signed preferred supplier agreements (PSAs) with LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solution, alongside a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) with LS Cable & System and KEPCO Engineering and Construction (KEPCO E&C), for its Haesong Offshore Wind 1 and 3 projects in South Korea.

According to the company, the agreements cover subsea cable supply, transportation and installation, as well as operations and maintenance support.

“By combining LS Cable’s manufacturing expertise, LS Marine Solution’s installation capabilities, and KEPCO E&C’s engineering know-how, the partnerships will ensure the successful execution of the Haesong Offshore Wind 1·3 Projects and contribute to Korea’s ambition of becoming a global offshore wind leader” , the developer said via social media.

The agreements come shortly after Haesong Offshore Wind’s MoU with Siemens Gamesa and Doosan Enerbility , which aims to combine Siemens Gamesa’s offshore wind turbine technology with Doosan’s domestic manufacturing capabilities on the Haesong Offshore Wind 1 and 3 projects.

Owned and developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), the Haesong project is planned to be built off the west coast of Shinan, Jeonnam, through two 504 MW phases, Haesong 1 and Haesong 3.

Last year, Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP), which is developing the Haesong project on behalf of CIP, signed a preferred supplier agreement (PSA) with LS Marine Solution for subsea cable installation work and LS Cable & System for the delivery of cables.

In June 2025, the developer signed a grid interconnection agreement (GIA) with KEPCO that enables the connection of 1 GW of renewable energy generated from the Haesong Offshore Wind 1 and 3 projects to KEPCO’s grid.
