The group consists of four operating brands, including energy and marine consultancy ABL, energy and software consultancy AGR, renewable energy consultancy OWC and design and engineering consultancy Longitude.
The reason behind the name change is the confusion arising from the current dual use of ABL as the name of both the listed group entity and the group’s energy and marine consultancy.
“Our value for clients and colleagues is delivered through our specialist brands,” said Hege Norheim , CEO of Aqualis. “Through this step we will bring more clarity, visibility and autonomy to those brands, enabling them to grow further in their own right, while reinvesting success into new strategically aligned opportunities, to support our clients, and to create exciting career pathways for our people.”
Last month, ABL Group announced it was expanding its end‑to‑end technical offering to the energy industries by making a move to bring into its fold SynergenOG, a Malaysia‑based process safety and technical risk management consultancy for the energy industry.
