Jan De Nul’s latest mega-trailing suction hopper dredger Leiv Eiriksson was launched at the shipyard Construcciones Navales del Norte in Sestao in Spain on Friday.

One of the world’s two largest dredgers heads down the slipway at the ‘La Naval’ shipyard in Spain on Friday. The 46,000m3 capacity mega-hopper followed its twin vessel Cristóbal Colón down the same slipway a year after its keel laying took place.
