Good times for South Korean shipbuilding industry

According to the South Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy, the country’s ship exports are expected to exceed USD 50 billion this year, rising from USD 43.16 billion in 2008 despite a severe industry downturn that saw new orders disappear and ship prices drop.
