On the 26th of September 2009 Anthony Veder opened it’s Representative Office in Jakarta.

Since the 1960th the company is recruiting personnel from Indonesia for their vessels. With this new office Anthony Veder is starting a new chapter! The ceremony was conducted by Drs. Jan Valkier, CEO of Anthony Veder. Speeches at the opening were given by Miss Renate Pors, Counselor and Head of the Economic Department of the Dutch Embassy, Miss Tati Hendarti Secretary for the Directorate General of the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration and Mr. Sonni Pattiselano Secretary of KPI (Indonesia Seafarers Union).

The new Anthony Veder Representative office is a professional set up, geared up to provide the Anthony Veder gas tanker fleet with the required crew. This office is equipped to facilitate computer based training for crews as well as English proficiency testing and to have the regular held officers meetings.

Anthony Veder is employing Indonesian officers from the local schools and trains them further to have a successful career at sea. The office staff will reinforce our contacts with the schools and make sure that there is room for trainees/cadets on board of our vessels. There is a long history between Anthony Veder and Indonesian schools and we remain supporting the schools where we can. Quality is for a gas tanker owner of utmost importance and the demand for quality of our customers is getting more and stricter. This translates in a demand for quality crew and officers. By recruiting the best people from the schools and by giving them education and training on the job we can obtain the required quality.

A long term career within the company is the aim with all seafarers, this provides security in employment. In return Anthony Veder expects loyalty from our sea farers to stay with our company and bring in practice the education and experience they received from us.

Anthony Veder employs currently about 150 Indonesians on the fleet and the target is to double this number within the coming years. Anthony Veder has the ambition to grow its gas tanker fleet and with this ambition we need a reliable crew and officers to man these ships.

Anthony Veder offers you a modern high quality fleet of gas tankers for the transportation of LPG, petrochemical gases, CO2 and LNG. The fleet is continuously modernized, renewed and adjusted to comply with new regulations, customer requirements and the high standards of the gas industry. Our Rotterdam-based company has a strong customer focus and offers a reliable and flexible service with a wide range of high quality modern gas tankers.
