Ngqura Container Terminal in the Eastern Cape has received its first commercial vessel call. The MSC Catania – measuring 300 metres with a draught of 13 metres – docked at the new South African port, en route from Durban on Sunday. The vessel call was used as a test run for dock workers to hone their skills in the first commercial container offloading at the port.
