The world’s biggest in class static cutter-suction dredger will reach here in March 2010 and add to Saudi Arabia’s coastal construction capability. It sailed Rotterdam last month to the cheers of a large crowd of invited guests and IHC shipyard staff and their families. The contract to design and construct the dredger, named Al Sakab, was signed by the Saudi Huta GroupHuta Group with IHC in early 2007 and the keel was laid on December 19, 2008.
