A European-based ship design group has decided to open a new office in Singapore as the Far East increases its importance to the offshore industry. Offshore Ship Designers, headquartered in IJmuiden, in The Netherlands, and which also has offices in the UK, says the move will give the company the ability to support clients who are having UK or Dutch-designed vessels built in Singapore, where it already has a supervisory office.
