Moonen Shipyards is a recognized leader in building “pocket-size superyachts.” These include Custom and Semi-Custom steel-hulled yachts, Displacement and Explorer yachts, and fast aluminium Semi-Displacement yachts. Moonen, of course, also offers owners an extensive programme of refits in its home base in ‘s-Hertogenbosh (for yachts up to 35 metre) and its new Groot-Ammers facility east of Rotterdam (for yachts up to 50 metres). Over the past 20 years Moonen has successfully completed nearly 15 major refits, of its own brand and of yachts built by other reputable shipyards.

In order to fully inform potential clients of the shipyard’s great versatility in handling refits as well as new builds, Moonen is for the first time exhibiting at the Repair & Refit Boulevard in the Super Yacht Pavilion of METS, at Amsterdam RAI, 17 – 19 November. Moonen will be at Stand 10.712.

Our shipyard is the perfect place to bring a Moonen yacht, so the same skilled craftsmen who built her can knowingly rebuild her. Of course, this applies equally to fine yachts built by other respected shipyards-they all deserve the special care and attention that only the Moonen refit team can offer.

The beginning of a Moonen Refit is based upon the shipyard’s renowned reliability, quality, financial transparency, good planning, superb craftsmanship, internal project management, and spirited cooperation with owners, owners representatives, or yacht management. It is this sort of dedication that has earned Moonen Shipyards deserved respect around the world. The end of a Moonen refit is that we always live up to our promises to deliver the yacht on time, on budget, and in just the ideal state of reconditioning the owners wish.

At METS, Moonen’s team of specialists will be able to discuss refit needs, in a congenial atmosphere, with visiting owners, captains, engineers, project managers, and owners’ representatives. As a bonus, Moonen is offering interested clients a valuable chance to visit its modern Groot-Ammers facility to see the quality of workmanship and material going into an aluminium Semi-Displacement Moonen 89 being totally refit.
