JSW Infrastructure Ltd. has shelved plans for constructing ships in the wake of a likely supply glut and will instead focus on building ports to tap India’s rising cargo traffic, its chief executive said. “We are not pursuing shipbuilding at the moment. We have looked at the entire business plan, we don’t feel it’s the right investment under the current business environment,” B.V.J.K. Sharma, who is also the company’s joint managing director, told Dow Jones Newswires recently.
